192.168.0.1 is an IPv4 Address or Private IP Address that is used by router manufacturers as the default login gateway for their routers to access the Admin Panel. The default login gateway may be other than 192.168.0.1, but all of these are in the same range.
The router manufacturers use these private IP addresses such as 192.168.0.1 so, that users can access the configuration panel and make changes to their WLAN network or different settings of the router itself. Through 192.168.0.1, one can easily log in to the router’s configuration panel and configure the device as per needs.
How to login to 192.168.0.1?
To login to settings of the router, you need to make sure that the device on which you are going to access the settings is connected to the network. You also need to make sure that the default gateway address is 192.168.0.1 so, that you can access the settings through this IP address.
- Open a web browser.
- In the URL bar, type http://192.168.0.1 or 192.168.0.1.
- A login page will appear asking to enter the username and password. Enter the username and password that you can easily find on the label on the router.
- After entering the login details, click on Login.
- You will now be logged in to the Router’s Configuration Panel and make desired changes from there.
Forgotten Router Username and/or Password?
If you find yourself in a situation that you don’t know the username or password to log in or have forgotten it then there are two choices;
You can look for the default username and password at the back of router or router’s manual.
If the default login credentials aren’t working then you will have to reset your router which reset everything including any changed username and password. You can then log in using the default username and password.
